60 Years of Carols from King's 2014 (BBC Documentary)

An amazing documentary broadcast on the BBC Christmas Day 2014. Features rare footage from many years of the Carol broadcasts since 1954 and revealing interviews with giants of Choral composing today such as John Rutter and Bob Chilcott, both past choral scholars at Kings. As well as an interview with Jonathan Willcocks son of the great Sir David Willcocks who will be 95 this year. An unbelievably good Christmas gift and treat.

Après la longue attente (Taizé)

Après la longue attente,
Après le rude hiver,
La nouvelle éclatante
Ebranle l’univers.
Fini le dur tourment,
Le Messie va paraître,
L’annonce des prophètes

S’accomplit maintenant.

Amen.

Psalm 147 (Taizé)

Glorifie le Seigneur, Jérusalem !
Célèbre ton Dieu, ô Sion !

Il renforça les barres de tes portes,
il a chez toi béni tes enfants;
il assure ton sol dans la paix,
de la graisse du froment te rassasie.

Il envoie son verbe sur terre,
rapide court sa parole;
il dispense la neige comme laine,
répand le givre comme cendre.

Il jette sa glace par morceaux:
à sa froidure, qui peut tenir?
Il envoie sa parole et fait fondre,
il souffle son vent, les eaux coulent.

Il révèle à Jacob sa parole,
ses lois et jugements à Israël;
